eCarUp API
Pilot Project: Green Zones in Lucerne.
As part of the “Green Zones” pilot project, the City of Lucerne, in collaboration with ewl, arcade solutions AG, and eCarUp AG, has equipped parking spaces on Eichmattstrasse and Bergstrasse with modern charging infrastructure. The project supports the goal of having all vehicles registered in Lucerne powered by electricity or renewable energy by 2040.

Accessible charging for everyone. Station owners retain full control over their rates, and payment processing happens automatically in the background.
For the neighborhoods
Convenient charging infrastructure for residents and visitors.
On Eichmattstrasse and Bergstrasse, residents without dedicated parking spaces can easily charge their electric and hybrid vehicles. Visitors can use the same infrastructure.
The installation was made possible by financial support from LadenPunkt and the City of Lucerne’s Energy Fund. With this initiative, the city is taking another step toward sustainable mobility and actively reducing CO₂ emissions.

Integration with the eCarUp API.
eCarUp connects the charging stations to the project partners’ systems via the API. Management and billing for the charging infrastructure remain tailored to each partner’s needs, making the transition to eco-friendly mobility easier.
The ewl website shows in real time how to use the stations and which parking spaces are currently available.
