Do I still have to manually record the tenants' electricity usage?
No. The charging stations automatically send usage data to the eCarUp cloud after each charging session. Billing is handled digitally and in real time—you’ll never have to read the meter in the underground parking garage again.
What happens in the underground parking garage when there's a change in tenants?
You can block the old tenant on the web portal with a single click and invite the new tenant to the group via email. There’s no need to hand over keys or provide physical access cards. Access rights remain traceable at all times, even when managing multiple properties.
How do I determine the electricity rate for my tenants?
In the web portal, you set your price per kilowatt-hour and, optionally, a time-based fee. We recommend a rate that covers electricity costs and helps offset the cost of the charging infrastructure. The rate can be adjusted per station or per group.
Do the charging stations in the underground parking garage require an internet connection?
Yes. The charging stations must be connected to the internet so they can send billing data and be maintained remotely. Depending on the on-site conditions, the connection is established via Wi-Fi, a LAN cable, or a SIM card installed in the station.
When and how will I receive the revenue from my charging stations?
Charging costs will be billed to your renters after each charging session using the payment method on file in the app. The money accumulates as a balance in your eCarUp account and can be transferred to your Swiss IBAN with a single click in the web portal.
