smart-me 's three-stage multilevel load management system distributes available power based on priority at all times.
The smart-me Pico charging stations meet all of our needs and those of the Canton of Ticino. Their built-in intelligence provides us with flexible, future-proof load management. The real-time data available via smart-me and the eCarUp backend gives us extensive capabilities for analyzing, monitoring, and troubleshooting our charging infrastructure.
Analysis
Real-time data and transparent analysis.
The 46 Pico charging stations communicate with the smart-me cloud via cellular network using their built-in SIM cards—free of charge, in real time, and without any additional operating costs. They can be easily configured and managed from the comfort of your office chair.

Pico ’s charging stations in the outdoor parking lots are installed in pairs on sturdy bases. The result is a user-friendly infrastructure that offers many operational benefits.
User-Friendly Operation
You can display your own GIF on the customizable display. When you activate the feature, Pico guides you through the process and displays error messages immediately—for example, if the cable isn't plugged in correctly.
Tidy
The charging cables hang from the base in side cable holders. Protection against water and dirt is guaranteed. The cables can be physically locked in place and are easy to replace.
Easy Maintenance
Thanks to the built-in service hatch, the legs are particularly easy to maintain. Access is possible in seconds when performing service work or repairs.
Minimal installation effort
The stations are accessed from below through the foundation. A pre-installed terminal block makes wiring quick and minimizes errors.
Load Management
Load management for every situation.
At the heart of the installation is the smart-me multilevel load management system. The Pico charging stations intelligently distribute power within their group at all times. An overload protection feature operates reliably, even in the event of an internet outage.
The control system dynamically monitors the output of the e-mobility system as well as solar production and efficiently prioritizes the available energy. It also seamlessly takes into account the power consumption of the fast-charging station connected to the same output.
A flexibly configurable load shedding system is available in four levels, accessible via the cloud or a wired connection. The system is rounded out by integrated unbalanced load compensation and optional solar optimization.
Monitoring
Measurements that add up.
With the Telstar technology fromsmart-me , the captured real-time data is not only available for load management; detailed analyses are generated automatically.
Automated Energy Cost Billing
The billing statement clearly shows consumption under various rates, such as peak, off-peak, and solar rates. This allows operators to see not only their revenue but also their actual energy costs. Cost reporting is available at any time, and the system’s cost-effectiveness remains under control.
