Stadtwerk Energie Thun offers comprehensive services in the field of electric mobility to both charging station providers and electric vehicle drivers.The energy provider’s charging solution is so flexible that it can be easily adapted to any use case. As a result, it covers residential, semi-public, and public applications. In addition, different billing options are used depending on the use case, including billing via the electricity bill. Charging Options for Tenants
Private charging stations should be as straightforward as possible, both for residents and for building management. That’s why Energie Thun offers eCarUp@home, a simple and smart charging solution for apartment buildings. Energie Thun bills tenants directly for energy, maintenance, and, if applicable, rent on their electricity bills. To do this, eCarUp transfers the meter load profile data via an interface to Energie Thun AG’s billing system. This allows the energy provider to bill its end customers using standard processes. The interfaces to third-party systems are part of our charging solution for municipal utilities.

Energie Thun AG assesses the technical feasibility of " eCarUp@home" on-site, develops the installation plan, solicits bids from local contractors, and contacts the building's management or owners.

Corporate Charging Stations
Everyone benefits from charging stations that are open to the public, at least part of the time. The operators decide for themselves who can charge and when. With the charging solution from the energy provider Energie Thun, different prices can be set for different user groups. This creates a win-win-win situation: otherwise unused charging points can be rented out and thus made accessible to other users. This gives electric vehicle drivers more charging options, and station owners recoup their investments more quickly. In addition, thanks to the organically growing charging network, Energie Thun needs to invest less in expensive public infrastructure.
Employee Parking Spaces
The employee parking spaces at Energie Thun AG are available only to employees during business hours. In the evenings and on weekends, the general public may also charge their vehicles there for a slightly higher fee.
Public Charging Stations
All public charging stations in Thun are listed in the eCarUp app . The cost of a charge is also displayed to drivers in real time. In addition, charging can be initiated by scanning the QR code at the station. This requires a credit card in addition to a smartphone. Once charging is complete, the corresponding amount is charged to the card, and the driver receives a receipt. This ensures complete transparency.
Example: Fast-Charging Stations
The 3-in-1 fast charger available at the Hohmad Shop provides fast charging for all plug types. Users can activate CCS, ChaDemo, and Type 2 connectors individually via an app or QR code. Payment is made by credit card directly to an account held by Energie Thun AG.
