Will my stops show up in navigation apps and other apps?
Yes. To take advantage of the maximum coverage via roaming (Hubject), you need a Premium license. With a Premium license, your stations will automatically appear on Google Maps, Apple Maps, and in the apps of major providers (e.g., EnBW, Swisscharge). Without a Premium license, your stations can be accessed in the eCarUp app and on-site via QR code (ad hoc).
How do drivers who don't have the eCarUp app pay?
It's as simple as "ad-hoc charging." Each station has a QR code. The driver scans it, selects their payment method (credit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay) on the website, and starts the charging process. No registration or login is required.
Can I charge a blocking fee?
Yes, we actually recommend this for public locations. You can set your rate plan so that after a certain amount of time (e.g., after 4 hours), a per-minute fee applies. This prevents "long-term parkers" and keeps the station available for the next paying customer.
Does this also work with DC fast chargers?
Absolutely. Our platform supports the OCPP standard, which is used by virtually all modern AC and DC charging stations (e.g., from ABB, Alpitronic, or Kostad). This means you can easily manage a mix of standard parking lot chargers and fast chargers within a single system.
How do I receive my earnings?
Billing is fully automated. We collect the payment from the driver (whether they pay via the app, a roaming card, or a QR code) and credit it to your account. You can withdraw your balance to your bank account at any time. We simply deduct a 10% transaction fee.
Who helps the driver if there are problems at the pump?
Since eCarUp is the software platform, we are responsible for billing. For hardware issues (e.g., a cable is stuck, a station is offline), you, as the operator, are the first point of contact. We recommend posting a hotline number (e.g., for your technical service provider or building manager) in a clearly visible location at the station.
